IT Transformation

The IT Transformation enables UCLA the opportunity to improve its information security and technology posture in furtherance of the university's core mission of education, research, and service.  Program objectives include:

  • Identification of efficiencies and modern practices yielding improved services and customer experiences
  • Delineation of primary digital transformation trajectories that position UCLA for both operational excellence and IT innovation
  • Organization of staff, decision structures, and financial models, in a hub-and-spoke model
  • Elimination of duplicative operations
  • Identification of best practices across campus and more consistent achievement of the highest standards of excellence
  • Elimination of obsolete activities and programs
  • Identification of opportunities for cost savings without loss of mission-critical operations
